Stage Two – Assessment
All candidates for Stage 2 must have first passed Stage 1 within the last 12 months.
Assessment stage will consist of a face to face interview (online) with the appointed panel to show how candidates present themselves and their knowledge / findings.
All applicants would be expected to demonstrate a fundamental knowledge of their field of expertise and a strong understanding of what ‘forensic’ means and its wider application. Applicants will be expected to satisfy the relevant criteria within the Chartered Competency Matrix
Interview questions will focus on the candidate’s career and experience and their breadth of knowledge about the profession in general, such as regulation. Current awareness and an in-depth understanding of issues central to the practice of forensic science are key.
