CSFS professional level members, working as Sole Traders or in SMEs, who do not have access to mental health support services can claim discounted access to confidential counselling services. The Society will cover £10 for each of six sessions, with the member settling the balance with UKMHS.           CSFS members have the benefit of single sign on access to Science & Justice through the Society website. Associates, Members and Fellows have access from volume 1 (1960) and Affiliates and Students have access backdated 10 years.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) online recording of points is now available for CSFS members. All Society led conferences, seminars, and workshops are CPD approved (1.5 points per delivery hour). Members CPD logs will be automatically updated with relevant CPD points from all CSFS events they attend.

Chartered Forensic Practitioner (ChFP) is the Society’s highest level of membership for current practitioners. Applications are welcomed from experienced forensic practitioners with at least 5 years’ experience (gained immediately prior to application) who are already Members or Fellows of the Society and (currently) practice in UK/Eire. At present ChFP assessment is only available for those wishing to be assessed against the UK legal system.  

Professional recognition in the form of a post-nominal Associate (ACSFS) Member (professional) (MCSFS) Chartered (ChFP) or Fellow (FCSFS).
