The Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences (CSFS) is seeking a CEO

This is an interesting and challenging role at a time of change within forensic science. With the Forensic Science Regulator moving to statutory powers, there are excellent opportunities for CSFS to further support quality in the provision of forensic science and support our members and the development of the profession of forensic science.

The Chief Executive Office (CEO) collaborates with the Trustees to set the strategy and while setting the strategy for the future is exciting, the day to day responsibilities focus on leading and supporting a small team who interact with a broad range of membership and varied stakeholders. A detailed outline of responsibilities is available below.

The ideal candidate will be a self -motivated problem solver with excellent financial, management and interpersonal skills.

The salary for the full time position is £60-70k p.a.

The CSFS Headquarters  is in Harrogate and while it is not necessary that the new CEO is based in Harrogate, they will be expected to attend there on a very regular basis and also be flexible in relation to necessary travel and attendance at conferences and other functions that may take place at weekends or out of hours.
