Research invitation: participate in testing the world’s first standardized classification system for forensic quality issues

Thank you for your previous support of my research project: Developing a standardized classification system for quality issues in forensic science. I am delighted to announce that the Forensic Quality Issue Classification System (F-QIC)is now ready for testing.

I am seeking assistance from the international forensic community to volunteer their time to test the system to evaluate its performance and inform further improvements.

Current and former professionals with experience in the identification, management and/or classification of forensic quality issues are invited to participate, including (but not limited to):

·         Forensic quality managers and practitioners

·         Forensic practitioners / analysts

·         Forensic managers

·         Agency Directors and Executive

·         Accreditation body or regulatory body professionals

Testing will be conducted using an online testing platform (Qualtrics) and requires participants to classify various hypothetical quality issue scenarios using the system and provide feedback along the way.

It is anticipated that testing will take between 20 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the number of forensic disciplines applicable to the participant. The testing can be completed in multiple sittings, if required.

The online testing platform, including a short introductory video and further participant information on the research project, is available at the following link: https://curtin.au1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3Xcs5jiuDlr3T8i
