New CEO appointed

CSFS has appointed Darrell Matthews as the new CEO.

Darrell has an extensive background in membership organisations and trade associations and has worked in several sectors including engineering and manufacturing. He will join the team in Harrogate from the end of January.

Speaking on the new role Darrell said “I am delighted to take up this role to lead the continued success of the Society, to keep on supporting members and improving the environment in which they work. I am very excited to start work with the members, the Trustees and the Society team to build on what has been achieved. I plan to meet with as many members, Council members and influencers in the Forensic sector as possible, in my first few months.”

President of CSFS, Dr Sheila Willis added “This was a key appointment for CSFS and Darrell brings expertise and experience from other membership organisations and roles. The Council are looking forward to working with Darrell to take the Society forward and strengthening forensic science by supporting its members.”
