CSFS Research Grant 2022 awarded

 

At the start of 2022 The Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences, as part of its continued commitment to supporting and encouraging research within forensic science, launched the CSFS Research Grant.

We were delighted to receive a number of strong applications in this first year and after consideration by an independent panel, we are pleased to announce this year’s award winner.

Dr Kevin Farrugia

MCSFS, Senior Lecturer in Forensic Chemistry and DMU Teacher Fellow at De Montfort University.

Kevin’s project     Alternative carrier solvents and methods for development of latent fingermarks

“covers a vital aspect of fingerprints analysis” and scored highly in terms of relevance and impact.
