Calling for participants in PhD research on CSI Decision making
I am James McCormack a PhD researcher at the University of South Wales exploring how Crime Scene Investigators (CSIs) make decisions when attending both sudden and suspicious deaths. Specifically, my study focuses on how CSIs use sensemaking to assess the scene and inform their decisions. This research aims to deepen our understanding of the CSI’s role in death investigations and contribute to the wider body of knowledge on decision-making practices in these contexts.
I am seeking to interview CSIs who have completed Stage 2 training (or equivalent) and have experience of both sudden and suspicious deaths. Participation involves an interview lasting approximately 60 minutes, which can be conducted online or in-person, depending on travel feasibility.
All participation is entirely voluntary, anonymous, and confidential.
If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please contact me at 11021039@students.southwales.ac.uk.
Thank you for considering contributing to this important research!
James McCormack
