Pathway options

Educational Accreditation

• Established BSc, MSci or MSc programmes.
• Normally suitable where forensic science forms the majority of the programme content.
• A full cohort must have graduated before accreditation can be awarded.

Conditional Educational Accreditation (CEA)

• Newly validated programmes.
• Ideally entered during the first year of delivery.
• Designed to support programmes on their journey towards full accreditation before the first cohort graduates.

Educational Recognition

• Programmes where forensic science forms a significant element but is not the primary focus.
• Suitable for a range of undergraduate, postgraduate and sub-degree qualifications.  (Dip & Cert)

International Educational Certification (IEC)

• Available to institutions outside Europe.
• Uses the same component standards and assessment criteria as the EQS scheme.
• Delivered through a virtual review process with digital evidence submission and virtual facility tours.
