Applications for STEM for BRITAIN 2026 are open until 24 November 2025. 

Early career researchers are encouraged to take part in one of the UK’s most prestigious opportunities to showcase their research: a national poster competition held at the heart of Parliament. This event invites early-stage researchers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to present their work to Members of both Houses, fostering direct engagement between academia and policymakers.

Participants not only compete for a coveted Medal and Prize, but also gain exposure to the workings of Parliament and its role in shaping STEM policy. The event promotes cross-disciplinary dialogue, often sparking new collaborations. It’s a chance for early career researchers to elevate their research, connect with peers, and represent the future of UK science on a national stage.

The finals of STEM for BRITAIN 2026 will be held in Parliament on 17 March 2026.
