We are all faced with some difficult, unprecedented times. I am sure you appreciate that the safety and welfare of CSFS staff and assessors is paramount to the Society. In light of this, and given the Government’s latest advice, the Society offices will be closed with immediate effect. All staff will be working, largely as usual, from home and will all be contactable via email. Unfortunately, during this period, we will be unable to answer any calls on the main phone line, please direct ALL enquiries via email. If you are unsure of who you need to contact please email info@csofs.org. If you really need to talk someone then please call 07736643507 and we will endeavour to get back to you
At present competency assessments for police forces will continue for as long as possible and practicable and will be reviewed on a day by day, case by case basis. We understand that the decision not to go head may be made at force level and so please let us know as soon as is practicable. Should your assessment timetable be affected by any changes in our circumstances we will be in contact with you as quickly as we can. We do however need to be mindful of putting assessors at risk from travelling and staying in hotels – they may also be affected by potential school closures and illness causing the assessment capability to be drastically reduced.
All Educational Quality Standards visits overseas have been suspended for the present. UK visits will be assessed on a case by case basis as need arises and in consultation with the institution. If you have any queries about enforced changes to programmes and assessments at this difficult time then please contact accreditation@csofs.org. The details will need to be formally submitted in writing. Your accreditation will not be affected by delays in assessments and where appropriate we will consider remote review.
We wish all our members the best in these unusual times.
