Professional Background
Nikolaos (Niko) Kalantzis is a graduate of the Department of Physics of the University of Athens and has trained and specialised in Forensic Handwriting & Document Examination in Greece, Germany and the UK. Having two postgraduate diplomas from the University of Staffordshire (PgD in Forensic Science, MSc in Questioned Documents, both with Distinction) he is a Visiting Research Fellow of Staffordshire University from 2008, participating in experiments and research projects. Niko also delivers lectures at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in institutions throughout the UK, he designs and delivers postgraduate course, professional refresher courses (for CPD) and specalised courses aimed at professionals who deal with documents (e.g. barristers, auditors, bank personnel etc.)
He is a Professional Member of the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences, holds a diploma in Questioned Documents (FSSocDip) and is an associate member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, participating actively in the activities of the Greek branch of the ACFE. Niko has an active presence in research publishing and presenting at international forums. He speaks fluent English, Greek and has adequate knowledge of French.
