Professional Background
Helen worked for a numbers of years as a Reporting Forensic Chemist for the Forensic Science Service. During this time, Helen reported footwear mark, fibre and glass cases.
Helen now works as Principal Lecturer in Forensic Chemistry in the School of Health and Life Sciences at Teesside University. Helen teaches across all years of undergraduate study on the Forensic Science, Forensic Biology and Crime Scene Science programmes as well as teaching at MSc level on the MSc Forensic Science Programme. Helen is also the Principal Lecturer for Learning and Teaching within the School of Science and Engineering.

Helen has been a Professional member of the Society for a number of years and an approved assessor since 2016.
