David Spreadborough
Joining the Metropolitan Police as an officer in 1991, and then transferring to Cheshire in ’96, David spent many hours investigating CCTV evidence. In 2003 David identified the need to deal with CCTV evidence differently and started a local video unit that would eventually be developed to service the entire Constabulary. He was the senior Police Officer within the unit and had responsibility for managing and oversight of all video investigations.
David was the Subject Matter Expert within several national working groups developing standards for Video Investigations within Law Enforcement.
Since leaving the police service in 2015, David has been certified by LEVA as a Forensic Video Analyst, one of only 4 outside of North America.
When not conducting Image & Video Analysis, David is the international trainer for Amped Software and the UK’s trainer for LEVA (Law Enforcement & Emergency Services Video Association).
