Professional Background
Craig Adam has been strongly involved in forensic science education and research for over 10 years and is currently the course director for the forensic science degree at Keele University. Originally a physicist by training, he has particular interests in the physicochemical characterisation of forensic materials, document analysis and blood dynamics, as well as mathematical and statistical aspects of the discipline. He has published work across all these areas in recent years, including the textbook “Essential Mathematics and Statistics for Forensic Science”.
Craig has taught a broad range of topics across the physical science-based end of the forensic discipline and developed many laboratory experiments and exercises to complement his lectures. He has also had extensive experience in course development, quality monitoring and enhancement and accreditation, as well as external examining at BSc, MSc and PhD levels.
Craig is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics.
