The Society is currently investing heavily in moving ahead with the development of CPD (Continual Professional Development) and CPC (Certificates of Professional Competence). PEAC is a one day skills assessment designed to help those graduating and specifically looking for employment in the forensic sector. Where are we with the CPC
The Society already offers a wide range of professional development opportunities for individuals working in the field. We run regular conferences around the country and also partner with others that may be of interest to the Society. These events provide an excellent arena for communication collaboration and networking with fellow practitioners, academics and students. It also gives you the chance to development your knowledge and understanding through the high calibre presentations. We publish a peer reviewed journal (Science and Justice) dedicated to forensic science 6 times a year, which contains high quality cutting edge articles, editorials and meeting reports; CSEye, a quarterly e-magazine aimed at practioners and a quarterly newsletter (Interfaces) for the circulation of news from the Society and its members presented in a more informal way.
We are looking to support its members more effectively by providing even greater opportunities for self development. If you are interested in working with us to develop CPD and CPC in your area then please contact firstname.lastname@example.org....... In Phase 2 of the new website development we will be offering even more.
