For Undergraduates
The Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences has a level of membership specifically tailored to those who are studying for an undergraduate qualification in forensic science, or in a related subject. (Those who are working in forensics and studying part-time should apply for Affiliate membership instead).
Your First Step
Student membership is a fantastic way for you to embark on your membership journey and add value to your studies. Student membership subscriptions are offered at a low rate (currently £30 per year), and further discounts may be available – check with your course tutor before you apply!
Student membership is the first step on the CSFS membership ladder and it’s a great way to show prospective employers that you’re committed to your profession.
The only criteria is that you are enrolled on a university-level course and are over 18 years of age.
Further benefits
In addition to the broad benefits listed on the left –
Students who complete their course before their membership expires are able to upgrade to the professional-level membership of Associate (ACSFS) for the rest of their membership year (at no extra charge).
Furthermore – if you’ve been a member for more than 6 months at that point we will give you an extra 3 months free membership. So, don’t leave it too late before you enrol or you’ll miss out on more than discounts and web-based content!
Check before you pay!
Some universities arrange for membership of some or all of their students. Check with your course tutor before you complete the application form to take advantage of this.
