This course will take place on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th June at College Court Conference Centre and Hotel, Knighton Road, Leicester. LE2 3UF
The course will have two tracks:
Track 1 is designed for those who are interested in aspects of forensic podiatry, but who have little or no experience of theory and practice. The track will be hands on and practical in nature, giving the attendees the opportunity to use different techniques, and attempt real case work challenges. It will cover the three main areas of forensic podiatry practice:
In addition there will be an introduction to the UK legal system and the role and responsibilities of the expert witness.
Track 2 is designed primarily for those who undertook track 1 in October of last year, but is also open to those who have some understanding and experience of aspects of forensic podiatry. The track will offer the opportunity for participants to undertake two simulated cases, one on each of the two days, from initial enquiry to presentation of the findings. Participants will be given the opportunity to select the type of cases being undertaken from the three areas listed above.
The weekend will support participants in their preparation to undertake the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences’ competency testing process.
