To explore the challenges with novel psychoactive substances (NPS). With the increase in the supply of NPS within our social environment this generates legal and investigative techniques coupled with the scientific detection of the NPS. The challenges are faced by social workers, hospital staff, police and researchers in terms of individual behavior, treatment, supply and identification.
This one day event covers the social aspects, investigative approach and the scientific identification.
Social aspects: issues faced in the public health sector caused by NPS abuse.
Set within a forensic context, this event will be of interest to public health workers, social workers, hospital staff, drugs squad police officers, homeless and mental health charities laboratory analysts and researchers.
