The CSFS Annual Autumn Conference will take place on Thursday 2nd November and Friday 3rd November at Novotel Nottingham Derby Hotel and aims to bring together scientists, researchers and academics to exchange and share their experiences and research on all aspects of Forensic Biometrics. Forensic science is one of the important end-users of biometric technology, however evidence has shown that this is a fragmented area. Current applications of forensic biometrics focus on the use of DNA and fingerprinting for investigative and identification purposes but we need to ensure wider implementation of diverse technologies.
Forensic Biometrics can in many cases assist in solving major crimes through facial recognition, gait analysis and other forensic disciplines therefore this conference will provide the ideal platform to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the field.
The Society is particularly interested in receiving submissions from individuals with an experience in the practical application of biometrics, those at the forefront of research and development, market analysts, end users and governments officials that have (or are currently implementing) a cutting-edge application
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
We are currently accepting abstracts submissions via the website for oral and poster presentations in any area relating to biometrics. The closing date for submissions is 4pm on Friday 12th May 2017. To submit an abstract for consideration please use the online form.
The Society's Annual Awards Black Tie Dinner will take place on the evening of Thursday 2nd November. For further information on the awards being presented on the night follow the link.
The Society provides great opportunities to those in the forensic arena to sponsor its events and promote their products and services to the wider community.
