This membership class is designed for those who are embarking on a forensic career and those who simply have an interest in the subject. We recommend that if you joining us for the first time and are looking to become a Professional member that you first join directly as an Affiliate and then apply to upgrade.
This category of membership is open to those who are interested in forensic science and meet certain criteria determined by Council. Affiliates have no voting rights, may not serve on or nominate others to serve on Society Council, are subject to the Society Code of Conduct but are not entitled to use post-nominals indicating Society membership. You get access to the last 10 years of CSFS publications by logging on to the website. Greater access is availble to all Professional levels of membership.
Those who are in Post graduate study and who are not eligible for Associate level membership will be upgraded from student to affiliate on graduating.
Applicants do not have to have set education experiences to be eligible for Affiliate Membership.
Applicants are not expected to have any occupational experience to be eligible for Affiliate Membership.
